Gunn Sectional Bookcase
This sectional barristers’ bookcase has three-sections with glazed slide-up-and-over doors, in the style of sought-after Globe Wernicke cabinets. Each section can be separated from the next, including the leg base and the plinth on top of the bottom section so it can be added to. Works beautifully as a bookcase or to display your prized bits and bobs.
Dating from around the 1910-1920s, it was made by The Gunn Furniture Company which originated in Grand Rapids, Michigan and still has the manufacturers marks. From the original advert “You don’t get done when you buy a Gunn.”
The wood has been cleaned and revived to show off the original oak grain.
