About
Hi, I’m Sara. A maker, a painter, and a lover of old stuff.
For years now I have loved filling my home with things that have a story and a history, or show signs of the workmanship that went into creating them. So many pieces of old furniture are made beautifully and deserve a second chance to be recycled and reloved, and they genuinely ‘don’t make them like they used to’. While I absolutely appreciate that sometimes quick solutions are needed, cheap furniture just doesn’t last.
I started upcycling furniture about ten years ago, picking up discarded pieces from the streets and charity shops of London. Since then I’ve been honing my skills and style with upcycles, recycles, make-its, fake-its, and good old hacks. My work home is now in Trafford in Manchester.
My aim is to take old furniture and homewares and treat them as art, giving them a fitting place in any modern home. This is the space where I’ll be sharing my creations that are for sale, and eventually articles on other creative solutions for making a house a home.
